How Our Representative From the Democrat Party Has Voted

What I, Duane V. Grassell, pledge to do.

Spending

He has voted for 98% of the spending bills that has been brought to a vote in the House, no matter how ridiculous or unconstitutional. This has lead to our debt jumping to over $9 trillion leading to the devaluation of our dollar overseas. He has voted with his party leadership 96% of the time on issues.

I pledge to vote against all unconstitutional spending even if it is favored by my party. I pledge to vote against all bills that would put us in a deficit for the fiscal year and increase our national debt and devalue our dollar. I will work to try to pay down our national debt.

Taxes

He has voted for every bill that would increase taxes taken from your paycheck. He has also voted to increase taxes on businesses which would increase the costs of the items we purchase. Such tax hikes are counterproductive to job growth and do not increase revenue to the federal government.

I will support to eliminate the unconstitutional taxes on your salaries. I do favor the Fair Tax which is a tax on the purchase of some consumer goods that many of you will not pay. I also support the elimination of the AMT, the Death Tax, and the Capital Gains Tax which is a double taxation on your investment. I also support decreasing taxes on businesses. All these measures will increase the revenue to the federal government.

Immigration

He has voted to give illegal immigrants welfare benefits, food stamps, medicaid benefits, and social security benefits. He has also voted for a bill that would grant amnesty to those who came to our country illegally.

I pledge to vote against any bill that gives welfare type benefits to illegal aliens. I also pledge to use my office to get the administration to enforce immigration laws already on the passed by Congress.

The Welfare State

He has voted to drive up our debt by casting votes for welfare benefits to those who will not work, to wealthy corporations, and to foreign governments as well as the UN

I pledge to vote against all kind of welfare programs when they come to a vote.

The War on Terror

He has not voted to give our troops fighting overseas all the material support they need. He has also not spoken up to colleagues of his own party who have harmed the morality of our troops by falsely accusing them of murder. He has also not spoken up against those members of his own party who met with the foreign government officials who have contributed to bringing harm to our troops in combat.

I will vote to support the mission of our troops for all material need before and after the mission is complete. I will also vote to fight against those governments that give material support to our enemies in the field of combat, and I will denounce any member of Congress who gives moral support to our enemies.

Energy

He has voted against all efforts to produce energy domestically. He has voted against domestic oil exploration and drilling forcing us to rely on the price gouging of foreign oil producers. He has also voted against the construction of new oil refineries making fuel production environmentally unfriendly by relying on older technology. He has also resisted the further the development of nuclear energy to meet our power needs.

I support the increase of new drilling and refining in our nation to drive down the cost of fuel and related products that rely on transportation. How has the cost of groceries been lately? I also support the development of nuclear power plants which are cleaner than our current coal burning plants as well as being more efficient.

Sanctity of Life

Despite running on a pro-life platform during his first election, he has voted to fund abortion providers such as planned parenthood and the UN population fund.

I pledge to cosponsor the Sanctity of Life bill currently in Congress that recognizes the humanity of the pre-born from the moment of conception and would end the holocaust we have perpetrated on innocent life in this country.
